Una Nuna-Malamutes

Welcome to the Una Nuna-malamutes website! We are a small home kennel in southern part of Finland.

• Member of AMCA, alaskan malamute club of America, since 1995
• Kennel name recognized by FCI in 1994.
• We have won the breeder's class in Alaskan Malamute Specialty show 2 times in 2006 & 2007
• We have won the Finnish Malamute Club title 'breeder of the year' twice , last time being 2007.

Our most important values in breeding are to try to produce sound, healthy animals with good working potential.

We sled and cart train our dogs and follow up the development of the puppies we have produced to be able to always learn more.

We feel alaskan malamute is a breed not meant for everyone but with a right owner and family it is a dog that gives much pleasure. Malamute is a dog with strong self respect and strong natural born instincts that made the survival in the arctic possible.

We breed from a hip/eye/elbow screened animals and try to avoid too close linebreeding to maintain genetic vitality.
